A Step-Up SIP can significantly boost your long-term returns. Discuss how to implement this strategy effectively with our advisors.
A Step-Up SIP (also known as a Top-Up SIP or Increasing SIP) is a variation of a regular Systematic Investment Plan where you increase your monthly investment amount periodically, typically on an annual basis, by a fixed percentage or amount. This strategy aligns your investments with potential increases in your income over time.
You start with an initial monthly SIP amount. Then, you specify a percentage (e.g., 10%) or a fixed amount by which you want your SIP contribution to increase each year. For example, if you start with ₹5,000 and choose a 10% annual step-up, your SIP amount will become ₹5,500 in the second year, ₹6,050 in the third year, and so on. This increased amount is automatically invested each month for that year.
